Pages 173/174This indenture, made this eighth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one between Enos Moor, Elizabeth his wife, of the County of Ross State of Ohio, of the one part and James A. Loney of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Enos Moor and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of forty dollars current money to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained, sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain sell and convey unto the said James A. Loney his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the County of Ross and State of Ohio,
beginning at a small white oak and black oak in the westerly line of survey No. 4011 thence N75 E33 to a stake near a dogwood, thence N15 W48 to a white oak, thence S75 W33 to a small black oak in the original line, thence with said line S15 E48 to the beginning, containing ten acres. Together with all improvements and appurtenances whatsoever to the said premises in any wise belonging and all the estate, title or claim of the said Enos Moor and wife of in and to the same,
To Have and To Hold, the lands hereby conveyed with _____ of the appurtenances unto the said James A. Loney his heirs and heirs and assigns forever, and the said Enos Moor and wife for their heirs, ancestors and administrators, do hereby covenant with the said James A. Loney his heirs and assigns, that the aforesaid premises are and forever shall remain free from all former and other encumbrances, and liens whatsoever, done or suffered to be done by the said Enos Moor and wife and the said Enos Moor and his heirs and all singular the premises hereby bargained and sold with the appurtenances unto the said James A. Loney his heirs and assigns against the said Enos Moor and his wife and their heirs, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof, the said Enos Moor and wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Personally came before the subscriber, one of the Justices of the peace, in and for the County aforesaid, the above named Enos Moor and Elizabeth his wife and acknowledged the above signing and sealing to be their free and voluntary act and deed for the purposes above expressed. And the said Elizabeth Moor wife of the said Enos Moor being by me examined separate and apart from her said husband; and the contents of the above deed having been made known to her, she did declare that she voluntarily, and of her own free will and accord, and without fear of caution of her said husband did and now doth acknowledge the signing and sealing thereof.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Big Bottom this eighth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one.
