MASTER CUPP
A son was born Sunday, 11:52 a.m., at Chillicothe hospital to Mr. and mrs. Chester Cupp, 126 East Fourth Street.
LODGED IN JAIL
William Dudley, 48, of 10 south High Street, was arrested by Officer Homer Rinehart, Sunday at 10a.m., after sideswiping two autos parked in front of Trinity M.E. church. On complaint of Mr. C.D. Sutton, 528 McKellar Street, he was lodged in jail on charge of operating an auto while intoxicated. Dudley, officer Rinehart reported, struck Sutton's car, the hit the auto of Jacob Kohler, Waverly pike. Both machines were damaged. Dudley escaped injury however.
CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOR OF TYLER HAS PLAY
Twenty-five members of the Christian Endeavor society of the Tyler Memorial church assembled Sunday evening at the church for a regular meeting. The following members presented a play, which was a court room scene: Carl Butterbaugh, Evelyn Hopper, Alva Smart, Mary and Martha Moore, Cecil Rice, Olive Rice, August Dickinson and Mildred Sypherd.
REV. E.H. WIERTH IS LEADER FOR YOUTH GROUP
Rev. E.H. Wierth was the leader Sunday evening when the Salem Young People met at the Evangelical church. He discussed co-operation among the church organizations. A short story was read by Dorothy Ann Miller, and Catherine Schaeffer gave the scripture lesson. Following the meeting, the girls, who were winners in the recent membership drive, were treated by the boys.
W.B.A. CLUB TO MEET
Assisted by Mrs. Walter Thatcher, Mrs. Lawrence Spindler will entertain members of the Starlight club of the W.B.A. Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at her home on Caldwell Street. It is requested that each member bring a pound of food for the Thanksgiving baskets.

WITH THE SICK
Mr. C.J. O'Donnell resumed his duties, as tailor, at the Levy Clothing store, north Paint Street, after an illness of several days at his home on East Fourth Street. Mrs. E.P. May, 83, Kingston, underwent an operation for a carbuncle on the back of her neck at noon, Sunday. Dr. H.M. Crumley performed the operation at her home, where she is being cared.

Girl Reserves meeting at 7 p.m. in the Walnut Street Methodist church. Mrs. Eric Grossman, Grove City, the former Alyce Dunlap, will discuss, "Down the Ladder of Social Approval."
Mrs. Joseph G. Engleman, who has been the guest of her son, Dr. E.D. Engleman, of West Second Street, returned Sunday to her home in Cleveland.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Acton, of Belleview Hill had as their weekend guest, Mr. and Mrs. Harry H. Hartman, of Bexley.
MISS RICHARDSON WED TO JAMES BYRD
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Richardson, of Clarksburg, are announcing the marriage of their oldest daughter, Miss Olive Me, to Mr. James D. Byrd, the son of Mrs. Lulu Smith, of Atlanta, Ga. The ceremony was performed at noon, Monday, Nov. 8th, at the Baptist church in Columbus by the Elder J.A. Smith. The only attendants were Miss Agnes Dobbin and Mr. George Kennedy. The bride, who wore a navy suit with red accessories, is a graduate of the Clarksburg high school in 1935. She attended Wilberforce College, graduated from the Cameron School of Cosmetology in Columbus, and is employed at manicurist at Kennedy's barber shop in Columbus. Mr. Byrd graduated from the Alabama State College and is a member of the Swingsters orchestra playing in Columbus now. They are living at 216 North 22nd Street, Columbus.
TWENTY-THREE ATTEND SENIOR C.E. MEETING
"Prejudices Are Unchristian" was the subject of the discussion led by Miss Hazel Graves, Sunday evening, at the meeting of four guest and 19 members of the Senior Christian Endeavor of the First U.B. Church. Robert Page, a guest, sang a solo, and Miss Helen and Glen Brown sang a duet, "In the Garden." Miss Lorene Leatherwood played the accompaniments. Talks were given by Misses Evelyn Leatherwood, Hilda Anthony, Julia McNeal, and Mr. Walter Leaterwood. Miss McNeal will be leader of the topic, next Sunday.
GOLDIE BARNETT IS YOUNG PEOPLE LEADER
Goldie Barnett was the leader Sunday evening, at the meeting of 75 members of the Young Peopl's society of the Free Holiness Mission on Monroe Avenue. Mrs. Flora Graves led the group in prayer, and Mr. Earl McKibben read the scripture lesson and gave a Bible talk. Opal Brown sang a solo. Announcement was made that Mrs. Anna Shonkwaller will be the speaker at the meeting Friday at 7:30 p.m.
DAUGHTERS OF 1812 MEET IN GREENFIELD
Mrs. Charles M. Mains was hostess Saturday afternoon to members of the Daughters of 1812 at her home in Greenfield. Assistant hostesses were Mrs. J.F. Arnott, Mrs. Edward, L. McClain, Mrs. J. E. Walker and Mrs. E.G. Miller. After luncheon at noon, Mrs. Paul R. Minich, of Springfield, presented a paper on "Old Inns and Taverns." Those from Chillicothe who attended the meeting were Mrs. Peter J. Blosser, Mrs. J. Dwight Withgott, Mrs. S.A. Steele and Mrs. Robert G. Tomlinson.
