Anna Catharina (Ruppel) Strickrott
Anna Catharina Ruppel, daughter of Conrad and
Anna C. Ruppel, was born December 13, 1842 in Germany.
She with her parents and two brothers, came to Greenfield, Ohio, 1858.
Shortly after the German M.E. Church was organized with five members, her
father, mother, oldest brother and C.M. Newbeck and wife, she joining
two years later. March 25th, 1865, she was united in marriage to
F.W. Gustav Strickrott. After the
dissolution of the German M.E. Church, she and her husband joined the M.E.
Church at Fruitdale of which she remained a very active member to the end. She
had her share of hardship to bear, nursing her disabled husband back to life
again and again when there seemed no hope. Now when her husband had provided
many comforts for their last years, she was not permitted to enjoy them. She
had received internal injuries through falls some years ago, which caused her
constant pain. December 15, she took suddenly very sick, developing
pneumonia. She died December 21, 1911, in triumph of a living faith;
her father, mother, two brothers and one grandchild have gone on before. She
leaves a husband, three sons, three daughters and ten grandchildren to mourn
the loss of a loving mother. Internment in the new cemetery. The funeral was
in charge of her pastor, Rev. Oswald. Her age was 69 years and 8
days.

We desire to express our sincere thanks to the many neighbors who so kindly
