CHARLES ALLEN

Service for Charles D. (Parky) Allen, 31, Route 8, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church, Richmond Dale, of which he was a member. Mr. Allen, a former cutter-operator at the Mead Corporation, died Saturday in University Hospital, Columbus. He was born Jan. 20, 1931 in Ross County, the son of Howard and Elizabeth Stockman Allen. On Aug. 9, 1953 he married Lettalee Mason. She survives, together with the parents, in Richmond Dale; a daughter, Sheila Lynn, and a son, Charles Jeffrey, both at home; and two brothers, Harold R. Allen, Route 8, and Dwight Allen, Richmond Dale. Mr. Allen, a member of District 50, United Mine Workers of America, Local 12647, served with the Navy in the Korean War. The Rev. Paul E. Simpson will officiate at the service, with burial in Caldwell Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware funeral home until Tuesday noon, and then at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

MARGARET ALLEN

Margaret I. Allen, 85, of Chillicothe, died Tuesday April 18, 2000, in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born on September 2, 1914, in Ross Co., Ohio, to the late Granville and Eloda Maxson Cox. She was married April 16, 1931, to William M. Allen, who died April 10, 1989. Surving are daughter and son-in-law, Barbara E. and Joe K. Shanton; sons and daughter-in-law John W. and Daphne R. Allen, James W. and Sandra Sue Allen, Danny F. and Carol A. Allen, and Terry L. and Peggy M. Allen, all of Chillicothe; 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and newphews. She was predeceased by two sisters and four brothers. Mrs. Allen had retired from the U.S. She Corporation where she had worked for 43 years, She was a member of the Laureville First Church Of God where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday with Pastor Mullins and Rev. Jack Townsend officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Chillicothe. Friends may call at the Ware's Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.on Thursday.

MARION ALLEN

Marion L. Allen Sr., 88, of Lick Run Road died 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 1997, in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born August 2, 1909, in Pickaway County to the late Ottee and Ellen Stewart Allen. He married Jeraldine Cox October 20, 1929, who died June 24, 1979. Surviving are daughters, Patricia L. Allen, Jean Allen and Kathleen Caplinger; daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Carl Arledge; sons and daughter-in-law, Marion L. Jr. and Phyllis, John W. and Nancy Allen and Randy R. and Pam Allen, all of Chillicothe; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Edith Burton of Ovledo, Fla; and several nieces and newphews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sherry Harper; sisters Ruth Williams and Inez Allen; and a brother, William Allen. Mr. Allen was retired from the U. S. Shoe Corporation, where he had worked for 42 years. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday in the Ware Funeral Home, with Rev. John Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 6-8 p.m. Thursday (today). Family request that memorial contribution be made to the Springfield Township Fire and Rescue, c/o Mary Stauffer, Clerk 79 Lakewood Dr.

VIOLA ALLEN

Mrs. Viola M. Allen 77, of 540 Arch Street, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday at Pickaway Manor, Circleville, after an illness of several months. Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Fawcett-Oliver and Glass Funeral Home. The Rev. G. W. Wilcher will officiate and burial will follow in Grandview. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where an Eastern Star service will be held at 7:30 p.m.. Born in Chillicothe on September 27, 1893, she was married to Harry S. Allen who died in 1957. Surviving are a sister, Miss Irene Mader of the Arch Street address, a niece and nephew. She was predeceased by a sister, Mrs. George H. Mathewson, and a brother, C. Albert Mader. Mrs. Allen was a 65 year member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church and its IHS Class and a 50 year member of Chillicothe Chapter 419 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also belonged to the North Fork Garden Club.

VIOLA ALLEN

Mrs. Ben (Viola) Allen, 79, Route 3, died at noon on Friday at Audrey's Nursing Home Circleville. She was born May 23, 1879, in Jamestown, a daughter of Raymond and Letha Wills Henson/Hinson. Surving are her husband Benjamin of Piketon; five sons, Albert Allen of Columbus, and Oscar, Raymond, Carmon and Guy, Circleville; and 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Defenbaugh Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Freuhling Officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery, Friend may call the funeral home after 10:00 a.m. Sunday.

WILLIAM ALLEN

William M. Allen, 82, of Chillicothe, died 4:32 p.m. April 10, 1989, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, following and extended illness. He was born Aug. 29, 1906 in Pickaway Co., to Otto and Ellen Stewart Allen. On April 16, 1931, he married the former Margaret I. Cox, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Joe Shanton, sons and daughter-in-law, John W. and Daphne Allen, James W. and Sandra Allen, Terry L. and Peggy Allen, and Danny F. and Carol Allen, all of Chillicothe: 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren: a brother, Marion Allen, Chillicothe, and a sister Edith Burton, Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters. Mr. Allen retired in 1970 from the U.S. Shoe Corp., where he worked for 40 years. He was a member of the First Church of God in Laurelville where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Jack Townsend officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wares Furneral Home 5-9 p.m. Wednesday.
